Price Match at Walmart.

Hey all I wanted to share a tip for saving money with no coupons at all.  With My subscription to the Oklahoman I get the Wed. paper and in it I recieve the sales ad for Buy4less, Homeland and Save-alot.  We don't actually have a Buy 4 Less in Shawnee which is kind of sad seeing as they have some good deals.  But, you can price match at Walmart without making the drive to the city to go there.  So if you were to take a few minutes to look through there sale ads you will be able to save a couple of dollars off your grocery bill.  I think I ended up saving about $10 just by price matching.
A good example was Buy 4 Less had their Sunny D on sale for .$99 for the 64 oz bottle.  Walmart had it over $2 a bottle.  All I had to do was show the cashier the ad and then she changed the price to match the ad.  $10 doesn't seem like much but it if you are a weekly shopper like me that is $40 in one month and $480 a year!  Who couldn't use that?!?  So, next time don't just throw the ads away take a few minutes to circle anything on sale and put in your purse when you go shopping!

If you have any question about price matching don't hestiate to email at brandicoffman@gmail.com
Hope you all find some great deals out there!

Free Hershey Air Delight Candy Bars at CVS!

Need a chocolate fix?!?  I think I could use one right about now!  Well, if you head on over to CVS and go to the magic coupon machine it is printing a coupon for a free one!  Remember, you account has to be registered at http://www.cvs.com/ to get these coupons.  It doesn't take long to do and it worth it for the free stuff you can get.  Plus, my mother in law called to say she got a $3 off $15 purchase!  She told me of the great deals she was able to get, so sounds like a great deal to head to CVS! (But, not everyone may get this coupon so be forewarned!)

A few free or cheap things at Homeland

Hey all!  Yesterday I spent a really long time at Homeland or at least it felt that way!.  But, I was able to snag a tone of groceries for $1 or less.  I was able to score about $90 for $32.  So, here are few of the freebies or cheapos that I really enjoyed getting!
Ok, first we have Pampers Thick Wipes 72 count!  You can't not beat free wipes!!! This one is a bit trickier to get because you have to be on the pampers mailing list and have a $1 off Wipe coupon.  I randomly have several laying around!  They are sale at the Harrison Homeland for $1.81.  After the coupon doubles they are totally free!  Got to love it!
The next one isn't free but we go through French dressing like crazy at my house!  My mother in law taught me the best recipe for French Chicken.  (Yum my mouth is watering thinking about it!)  So, it had to make the list!  Any way the Kraft dressing is on sale 2/$3 and there is $1/2 coupon found in the 6/19/11 SS (you are saving you inserts and labeling them aren't you?).  After the coupon doubles you only $.50 a bottle!

Third is the Mount Olive Sweet Relish.  It is on sale this week for $.99 and if you use the $.50/1 it is free!!!  I love free condiments!
Next is the Gerber Graduate Meals.  They are on sale this week for $2.19 and there is a $1 off 1 on http://www.coupons.com/.  After the coupon doubles it only $.19!  (There is also a coupon for the Gerber Puffs $1/2 and when it doubles you only end up paying $1 a piece!)
Sorry, to get these up the last day, but with the holiday it got too hectic to go shopping, because the sale ends today.  But, better late than never!  There is also a catalina deal I will be exploring a little more today to see if I can find a cheap way to score the products and the catalina rewards at Homeland.  I will let you know what I come up with!

Hope you all find some great deals out there!

Book Review for and Excellent Book about Couponing!

Hello all!!! It’s almost Independence Day and I was able to score some down time and I wanted to share with you one of the book I just finished!  I found this book at our wonderful library along with several other wonderful books that I hope to tell you about after the weekend!
The book is called The Coupon Mom's Guide to Cutting Your Grocery Bill in Half by Stephanie Nelson.  Nelson was featured on Oprah and the Today show.  She is an avid couponer and wanted to share her knowledge with others.
The book goes through grocery stores, drug stores and warehouse stores (such as Sam's Club.)  She also talks about how coupons work and how to read them.  She covers how to price track items to know when they are on the greatest sales.  Also, at the end she gives meal suggestions on a budget for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  She also breaks down the cost for these meals.  The 2nd to last chapters also has quite a few budget friendly meals, which also sound really good, too!
So, what did I think?  She is a very clear and concise writer.  Mrs. Nelson explains the concepts of couponing in a simple way making them easy to get.  She is very thourgh and even puts the concepts in easy to understand examples.  Although, there was only a few things in the book I didn't know or am not doing, there were several things I know I don't and should start.  Things like price tracking and really matching meals up to what was on sale were areas that I know I am weak in and in the book she explains easy ways to do both.    If you are a beginner couponer and wanting to know more, but confused by how everything works this is an awesome book for you!  Even if you are an advance couponer there are a few things you might find you didn't know!  I would definitely suggest this book to read for anyone who wants to learn how to save hundreds on their grocery bill!
She has an online site that I am not particularly fond of because there are a ton of ads on the page, but you may find you will enjoy this site.  It can be located at http://www.couponmom.com/ !  Well that's all for now friends I hope you all find some great deals out there!
